Family News (January 27,2004)
Most all of you feel like family to us, so I will update you on our family. My daughter Cheri had surgery this month and is doing fine and back at work. My son Allen and his wife had a beautiful little boy on January 15th. They are all great! My son Jim is getting married on March 13th and we will close the store for that day. It is the first time that we have closed on a Saturday, but that happens when it is a family business. I hope that this is enough notice so that you can plan accordingly.
New Beads!!! (January 26, 2004)
The African Trader came this month with lots of new items! We have also had several other traders come this month with stones and crystals! We got several really good buys, come in and check the low prices. We are expecting a large shipment of stones and pearls by the first of February. I always love to see new beads. So many combinations available, I just can't create things fast enough! As you are preparing for your Spring jewelry, be sure to come by and see the new beads.
Happy New Year (January 4, 2004)
We had a very busy and good holiday season. It was so good to see so many of you visiting from other areas. The Holiday decorations are put away and it is time to plan for Spring. We should have lots of new shipments arriving soon with lots of spring colors and new beads.
Spiky Spacers (December 8, 2003)
Crawford made the cutest bracelet using spacers that she created with needle, thread and seed beads. They are really cute and you can finish one in 15 minutes or less. Then you string the bracelet on wire as usual. Even I have made a whole set of Christmas jewelry using these cute spacers. We are offering classes for this or if you are already proficient with the needle and thread techniques we will tell you how it is done!
New Stones, Wood beads (November 17, 2003)
Last week we got 3000 strands of chips, so we now have about 40 different kinds of 36" stone chips! You can create a lot of Christmas gifts with these! Most are only $4.50, 20 or more strands for $2.50 each. Today another order arrived with wood beads. We also had a traveling sales person today and we bought some crystal cubes made in China. They are not leaded crystal like the Swarvoski but they look pretty good. Much nicer than some of the copies that I have seen. They are much cheaper. Any way we have lots of new beads, and more arriving every day. Be sure and come by soon.
