New Beads (July 4, 2006)
In June we purchased so many new beads. If you have not been by in a while you should come. We have lots of fresh water pearls, dyed shell and pendants to match. We also made a purchase of glass pearls (long strands) that are only $3.00 a strand. The African Trader was here in June and we refurbished the stock of brass and copper strands plus lots more. We are now carrying more of the fine gem stones. These are very good quality and beautifully cut.
Seed Beads (July 4, 2006)
As most of you have noticed, we now have twice as much space for seed beads. It took forever to write the order but it is here and we will have it all in place this week. Lots of new colors to enhance all your beading projects.
April Classes (March 28, 2006)
April 1, Jan Mrachek will return to teach a PMC ring class. If you have not taken one of her classes you are in for a real treat! You will create two beautiful ringsone with a stone. April 22 Allen Bankston will teach a pearl knotting class. This is a ckass that you have all been requesting. As always, any class that you would like to take that is not listed on the schedule or not at time that you can take it, just call for an appointment and I will teach you during regular store hours.
Spring Beads (February 24, 2006)
We have purchased so many new beads! Lots of Spring colors and fun things to create. The new mother of pearl circles and ovals that are cut out in the middle make such cute earrings and the colors are great. As always, we got some good buys on fresh water pearls that will make great necklaces for Easter outfits. New clasps from India with stone insets will complete your beautiful necklace. We also have some new pressed glass three petal flowers in lots of colors. These make great dangles.
What's new (January 22, 2006)
This new year is already passing too fast! We received the first part of a shipment of silver from India. Lots of pretty sterling clasps and crosses with stones and lots of toggles at very good prices. We got a few vermil (gold plated sterling) toggles and chandelier earring findings.
Jan has taught two classes on PMC and we all love it. She will return on February 4th to teach a Victorian Necklace at 10a and Victorian Earrings at 2pm. The necklace uses needle and thread and the earrings will require wire wrapping techniques. We have samples in the store for you to see.
The next PMC class will be on Feb. 25th. You will learn how to create toggles and button clasp using PMC. Class size limited, prepayment required for the PMC class.
