Birthday Parties (September 24, 2007)
Just a reminder to book birthday parties as soon as possible. The schedule gets more crowded during the winter months. We have added several new jewelry styles that are available for birthday parties. As always it is lots of fun.
Get ready for the holidays!! (September 23, 2007)
Lots has happened in the last 6 months and I have not written anything.
We have bought lots of beads to be ready for this busy season. If you have not been in lately be sure and come soon. This is a busy time of year for all you designers and we have a nice selection of display materials available so that you can maximize your sales.
When you get your fall and winter outfits bring them by to match beads to create your own custom made jewelry. We will be glad to help you or complete it for you.
New Classes (March 29, 2007)
Last week I taught the first Kumihimo class. This is an ancient weaving technique that comes to us from Japan. Everyone that took the class has already made beautiful things with this skill.
Next Saturday I will teach micro macrame. We will make a bracelet in class. This is an old technique with beads to create a new style. It should be fun and different.
Pearl Knotting is on the calender for this month April 14th at 2 p. Space is limited so sign up soon.
New Beads (January 16, 2006)
We spent all day Friday and Saturday buying beads. All of our vendors are on their way to Tucson so they are coming here first! We have buckets of new crystals and glass beads from the Czech Republic and lots of new African beads. We hope to have them all priced and out by Beaders Night Out, which is this Thursday, Jan. 18. I did not purchase but a few of some items so be sure to get here soon while the selection is best.
Cruise Report (January 16, 2007)
We had a wonderful time on our beading cruise. About 40 people traveled in our group and 20 took classes. We made a beautiful bracelet that will be on the February calender as the "cruise bracelet". We did an outstanding macrame necklace using waxed linen that is on this months' calender. Of course we made pmc charms for our bracelets, also will be on February calendar. Begin to plan now for next years cruise.
